Jeffrey is more than just a powerhouse jazz saxophonist, he is a creative, artistic soul, a woodwind specialist, a brass and multi-instrumentalist doubler, live and studio musician, private instructor, middle school, high school and college classroom educator, a composer and producer, and a passionate, active voice and supporter of and for the arts. He has performed with a “who’s who” list of stars across a wide range of genres: Take 6, Clark Terry, Donna Summer, Englebert Humperdinck, Victor Wooten, Terry Gibbs, Michael McDonald, Bela Fleck, Christopher Cross, T. Graham Brown, Chester Thompson, Jeff Coffin, Brian McKnight, the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, the Curb Youth Orchestra, Denny Jiosa, John Novello, The Yellow Jackets, Dennis Chambers, Artemis Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Joey Calderozzo, James Genus, Dave Weckl, Katy Perry, Vail Johnson, The Rude Boys, Levert, Dash Crofts, Brady Seals, Bad Company and many, many more. Jeffrey has performed in international musical/cultural exchanges for the United States Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in conjunction with members of The President’s Own United States Marine Band, the Cuban National Concert Band in Havana, Cuba and as part of the chamber music series at the Chautauqua Institution.
Jeffrey Is currently the lead band director, woodwind instructor, and director of rock and jazz bands at Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, TN. He studied music education at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and received his master’s of jazz performance from the University of Tennessee.
Chris began his musical journey early starting piano lessons in 3rd grade and drums the following year. After developing his talent through his school music program he went on the road full time at the age of 19. He went on to travel with Christian Band Bash ’N the Code for 10 years and finally settled in Nashville. Chris established himself quickly by touring and recording with artists Steve Taylor, Steven Curtis Chapman, Annie Chapman, Lee Greenwood, Charlie Daniels, Bill Gaither, Kerry Livgren (from the band Kansas), South For Winter, and was the drummer in the “house band” for the Billy Graham Crusades.
Colton Kareck is the Director of Social Media Marketing and technical assistant of Rhythm[s]myth. He has been working with Rhythm[s]myth informally since 2022 and as a member since July of 2023. Colton is a 2023 graduate of Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was a student of Jeffrey’s for three years as a trombonist in the Jazz Ensemble and seven years as a tubist in the Concert Band. He recently got married in March of 2026 to his wife Kaycie. In his free time, Colton is also a hobbyist YouTuber, photographer, and videographer. He has been working the past seven years on mastering the craft of social media marketing, scripting, storytelling, and video editing, and is bringing Rhythm[s]myth along side his work.
Colton has been serving in the church for a decade and has gained experience in church media production all across the board. He switched his church membership to Brentwood Baptist in 2021 to begin volunteering alongside their media team. Now, Colton is a self-employed media production contractor with Brentwood Baptist, Lipscomb University, Nashville Sound Rental, Bradymade Events and has several individual clients. He also works full time with MG Systems as an AVL integrator and installer for churches. He has worked some of Nashville's biggest productions, such as Brentwood Baptist's 2023 and 2024 Christmas Concerts, Lipscomb University's ESPN+ Sports coverage, the 2024 Men of Valor Annual Fundraiser, and the 2025 We Love Christian Music Awards.
